Martin "Tiger" Bech was a vibrant and ambitious young man whose life was marked by both athletic and academic achievements. Born and raised in Louisiana, Tiger was a natural leader and a dedicated athlete, earning a reputation as a formidable football player during his high school years at St. Thomas More Catholic High School. His talents on the field earned him a spot at Princeton University, where he became a two-time All-Ivy League football player, showcasing not only his physical abilities but also his strategic mind and teamwork.
Beyond the football field, Tiger was known for his warm personality and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. His friends and family remember him as someone who was always ready to lend a helping hand and who brought joy and laughter to those around him. His mother fondly recalled him as "an amazing kid who went out on top of the world," a testament to the love and admiration he inspired in those who knew him.
After graduating from Princeton, Tiger moved to New York City to pursue a career in finance. As a junior bonds trader, he was quickly making a name for himself in the fast-paced world of Wall Street. Tragically, Tiger's promising life was cut short on New Year's Day 2025, when he became one of the victims in a terrorist attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. His loss is felt deeply by his family, friends, and the communities he touched throughout his life.
